On April 8, the New River Health District announced that it had moved into Phase 2, which means everyone age 16 and older who lives or works in the district will be eligible to get the vaccine.

National Institutes of Health Director Francis S. Collins is the keynote speaker for virtual university commencement

Collins has been a key figure in the response to COVID-19. He is the only presidentially appointed NIH director to serve more than one administration. He will speak at the university’s virtual commencement ceremony Friday, May 14, at 6:15 p.m.
