Health district to end large COVID-19 vaccine clinics

Because supply finally is in line with vaccine demand, the New River Health District is shifting vaccination efforts to smaller outreach events. The last large clinic will be held May 18 at Lane Stadium.

Derek Mueller takes whimsical approach in ‘Pandemic Bestiary’ series

Mueller, a faculty member in the Department of English, produced a collection of drawings featuring beasts inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite having no training in drawing, Mueller’s thoughtful project for his children turned into a whimsical collection to combat the darkness of challenging times.
