COVID-19 simulation critical piece of Board of Visitors' planning

Navid Ghaffarzadegan's model uses the combination of mathematical modeling, complex systems methods, and simulation techniques to gauge how human behavior might impact the virus’s spread on and around the Blacksburg campus. Such information provides university leaders with potential cause-and-effect scenarios related to policy making and strategic communications.

Health director: COVID-19 cases may peak in region soon, vaccines offered at upcoming football game

The New River Health District will offer vaccines at Virginia Tech before the Sept. 3 football game. Vaccines will be available from 2:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Hokie Village, which is the turf field across from Lane Stadium.
