In a letter to the campus community, Dean of Students Byron Hughes and Blacksburg Police Chief Anthony Wilson write, "We hope that students and community members will still find ways to gather safely – whether that is in their pod, enjoying outdoor recreational activities in smaller groups, or attending some of the many events Virginia Tech is offering that follow current safety guidelines."

Linsey Marr honored with Ut Prosim Scholar Award

Marr, one of fewer than 12 experts worldwide on the aerosol transmission of viruses, has published over 100 journal articles and completed more than 35 sponsored research projects as part of her interdisciplinary approach to science.

Carla Finkielstein honored with Ut Prosim Scholar Award

Finkielstein, an associate professor of biological sciences in the College of Science and an award-winning cancer researcher, anticipated the limitations of existing methods for testing the novel coronavirus and enlisted a team to develop an innovative method that would more accurately, reliably, and rapidly detect the virus and help mitigate its spread.

Special vaccination clinic announced for Virginia Tech employees

Beginning next week, the first opportunities to receive a vaccine will be held on Tuesday, March 30, Wednesday, March 31, and Thursday, April 1, at the Dedmon Center on the campus of Radford University.
