Backpacking course marches on in outdoor classroom

Seven students recently completed the course’s capstone project, an overnight backpacking trip to Tinker Cliffs in nearby Botetourt County. Another seven students completed a similar project at McAfee Knob in Catawba, Virginia, a week later.

Students in isolation, quarantine can vote on Election Day

Students who already are registered to vote in Montgomery County must request an application for an emergency absentee ballot by noon on Nov. 2. Once approved, they will receive a paper ballot to vote, from campus, on Election Day.
